Yes, I know. this isn’t a paper or book related post, but I promised to expand the scope and content of the Rag & Bone Blog and I have to say that I LOVE Totoro. I adore all of the movies from Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki.
If you’re not familiar with Totoro, he’s a character from the movie “Tonari no Totoro”, the movie is titled “My Neighbor Totoro” here in America. He’s a sprite who lives in the forest and befriends two little girls who live nearby. If you’ve seen the movie, you know that description doesn’t do justice to Hayao’s inventive characters and unique creativity. As unique as Dr Seuss is, Hayao is just as identifiable. There’s something very magical about his films and I can’t say enough about them. Most have been dubbed into english and released by Disney here in America. You can Netflix them or pick them up at Blockbuster. I recommend “Kiki’s Delivery Service” for little ones and “Spirited Away” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”.
Anyway, this little felt Totoro is adorable. He was made by Liz over at Feltcafe.

This is a little papercraft Totoro I made for my daughter. He’s made from just one sheet of printed paper.
