While in Vegas, I stopped by the quaint Paper Doll at the Holsum Lofts complex. The store carries journals and cards, a nice display of Mexican “Day Of The Dead” paper dolls (of course) and these interesting paper bowls. They’re created in the Philippines by artists who fold origami-style strips of recycled street “posters” or “broadsides” and interlock them together to form the bowls. No glue, just paper folding. Proceeds for the sale of the bowls go back to the artists.
