Benefit street in Providence was closed to traffic for the annual Rhode Island School of Design Alumni and Student Art Sale. Rag & Bone usually shows at this show but with a newborn we took this year off, which gave us an opportunity to walk the show - we usually don’t get a breather to meet our neighbors when we attend.
We met the very lovely Laure and Carrie from Two-Trick Pony. They were selling screen printed and letterpress cards and notes. Simple geometric and floral patterns in contemporary blues and greens, very simple with a lot of white space. Laurie formerly worked at Paper Source. Carrie, it turns out, lives at the Distillery Artist Building in South Boston which is where Rag & Bone started a dozen years ago. She let us know about the next Distillery Open Studio event which we’re looking forward to in November. We’ll bring the camera and post more on Two-Trick Pony and the rest of the Distillery artists.
