Faye and I made our Yuzen art craft today at the Bindery. We used three sheets of beautiful, handmade Japansese Yuzen paper and wrapped a square stack of Binder’s board - the original idea was to wrap a canvas frame, but as we were at Rag & Bone, we had plenty of binder’s board around. We made a stack by simply cutting the board into 36 square pieces and taping together stacks of twelve using clear packaging tape, the kind on a tape gun. Nothing fancy. Then we wrapped the taped boards with the decorative papers. Nothing to it. We’re going to find a place at home to hang them, and we’ll take photographs. It was a fun craft for kids. The wrapping is a little detailed, but Faye, who’s five, simply made a little book out of the scrap while I did the wrapping. A team effort!
