I received an advance copy of my newest book, “Playing With Books” today. I’m so happy with the outcome, the design team, photographer Karen Philipi and my editor Mary Ann Hall. Here are a few photos. It’s bigger than my last book, 154 pages, and contains work by many talented multimedia and book artists. Should hit bookstores sometime in April. Here it is on Amazon already. Thanks to everyone involved, I can’t say enough how wonderful it is to be part of such a talented community of folks.

I am so very proud of my son. This is a beautiful book and will fit on everyone’s coffee table…..

The book should be out sometime in April. Amazon has it up now for pre-order. I hope to do a few openings/book signings, maybe teach one or two of the projects at the signings, maybe Makerfaire.
I’ll post a schedule on the blog.
Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot.

Hi,
I just received your book via amazon and I wanted to share my enthousiasm with you : it’s certainly the best book I’ve ever seen on the subject !
I am working on a show where all puppets and sets are made of paper, with a giant pop-up book, and so far I was not that pleased with the books I bought for ideas and new techniques.
But yours is truly beautiful and inspiring !
It’s a pity that such books can’t be found in France, by the way !
Thank you.
Marion

Got my copy 2 days ago (from Amazon in the UK). FABULOUS book!
Very idea-inspiring, and not as “twee” as some! Very refreshing.
Great book.

Just found your book at B&N. Totally loved it- so innovative. I wish I could be more creative to try some of your designs.

I found you book on amazon. I am looking forward to being able to purchase it. It is not available for a few months so I will look elsewhere. I teach HS art in a small school and one of my project this year is recycling with a purpose. This will be a great book to work with. Our local library has cleaned out a lot of books and they needed a home or they would be thrown away. I have an unlimited supply! Can’t wait to get the book!

I have a copy in my possession right now (though only on loan from the library).
I was thrilled by all of the ideas that started circulating in my head after simply thumbing through. In the past I’ve altered books and made paper beads, but Playing with Books offers a wealth of ideas and information that go beyond.
I love books that not only inform, but also spur on more ideas.
