Day one of the New York International Gift Fair was one of our best yet. Our lovely Publicist Sabina & her assistant Monica flew out to spend the day in the booth, as well as Leah from the shop. We needed all hands on deck, the traffic was fantastic. I hope this is a sign that the economy is finally turned the corner. The gift industry has been hit pretty hard, making our sales team work even harder than ever. We enjoy what we do and hope that comes across to buyers. We’re so grateful for the retailers and sellers out there who are advocates for Rag & Bone when we can’t be there in person. Please support your local main street brick & mortar retailers, they need your business more than ever. We don’t sell to big box stores, nor do we plan to, it’s the small independent retailer who keeps us in business and keeps us going.
We paired down our booth a bit this year, it was getting a little busy, visually, so just two book shelves and three tables. Piles of books in the same cover option. And the Wheel!. Of! Books! (say it like the game show). Our neighbors are the lovely Mark & Carolyn from Ecojot. And we got to play with the Blue Moon Designs little eight month old baby girl - so cute!
I left the show early - who needs me around when we have a lovely team of beautiful gals running the booth? But with iPhones and the internet, it’s like I’m there.
More photos when Ilira & Leah return.
