While in New York for the NYIGF, we visited the High Line, a raised walkway & park which follows an abandoned train track above the Chelsea neighborhood of New York. The walk is beautiful, it’s very peaceful to be amongst wildflowers and tall grasses up above the bustle of the city. We definitely noticed we slowed down our pace. There is outdoor art and a small place to rest your feet with a cup of coffee. It’s our new NY tradition. We also had a great meal down below. Can’t remember the place because we had too much to drink, but our Sake came in a wooden box.

Ooo, the High Line has definitely made my “must-see” list for my next trip to NYC. Thanks for the pics!

Hey Carrie! Maybe we can all go out to dinner, Two Trick, Rag & Bone, Ecojot, and whoever else wants to come. There’s a great little restaurant nearby too.

I just came back from a three day’s meeting of our enterprize..an enterprize which produces materials for green roofs…and I learned that we delivered “Highline”.
(I only work inside Germany so I didn’t know…)
I envy you a bit…you’ve seen one of the most beautiful projects we ever made!
And…the world is small again!
